Citizens of the Republic of Moldova who have an electronic signature and are registered in the state electronic notification service MNotify (mnotify.gov.md) will receive, starting from today, preliminary notifications about the expiration of their passport and ID card.
Citizens will be notified 60 and 30 days before the expiration of the documents. The third confirmation will be made on the day of expiration or revocation of the passport or ID card for other reasons. The MNotify service is free of charge.
Notifications can be received by email, through the government’s citizen portal, via short messages (SMS), or instant messages on Facebook Messenger, Viber, Telegram, Skype, and What’s Up, depending on what the citizen has set in their profile on MNotify. The notifications will be sent and can be viewed, among other things, in the personal profile (mcabinet.gov.md). In the profile, users can also set the preferred language of notifications, and the time they want to receive notifications.
