Moldovan Ministers Urge Citizens to Participate in September 28 Parliamentary Elections

Government members emphasized the importance of the September 28, 2025, parliamentary elections, calling on citizens to vote freely and decisively.

Health Minister Ala Nemerenco described the elections as “a very decisive moment for the Republic of Moldova and its people.” She stressed the importance of choosing a “pro-European path” and directly addressed medical workers: “I want to address medical professionals—from doctors to auxiliary staff—to support the path that has brought Moldova closer to a European trajectory.”

Nemerenco highlighted significant investments in the healthcare system: “We have made unprecedented investments exceeding 4 billion lei, supported by our development partners, EU countries, and governments of developed states.”

Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii urged all citizens to participate in the vote: “On Sunday, I will vote for a democratic, European, prosperous, and safe Moldova. I encourage everyone to take part in this important democratic event. Our country needs development, stability, security, and peace.”

Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin underscored electoral security: “On September 28, we must demonstrate that the power of the Republic of Moldova belongs to each of us. Vote freely, democratically, and without influence. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure the safety of every vote. I urge all citizens to support freedom and security.”

Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu called on citizens to help decide the country’s democratic future: “On September 28, our votes will determine Moldova’s democratic path. We have proven that we can overcome crises, find solutions, and engage with dignity among Europe’s major states.”

He specifically addressed energy sector professionals: “I invite colleagues from all energy enterprises to vote with the unity and strength of a team, supporting Moldova’s democratic and European future.”

Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru addressed legal professionals: “Dear citizens, the parliamentary elections on September 28 are crucial for Moldova’s future. I urge legal professionals to contribute and continue modernizing the rule of law, strengthening human rights, and improving the judicial and anti-corruption systems.”

Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Doina Nistor and Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan delivered similar messages, highlighting the elections’ importance in shaping Moldova’s development and European trajectory.
