A team from Moldova has reached the global finals of the Technovation Girls competition, becoming the only Senior Division finalist from Europe.
The achievement was announced by GLIA Impact Hub and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Moldova (AFAM), which highlighted the success of the TUTO AI team, formed through the Technovation Girls program implemented by GLIA Impact Hub.
According to the organizers, this year’s competition attracted more than 3,600 project submissions from over 100 countries. Only 15 finalist teams were selected worldwide—one from each of five global regions (Africa, Asia & Oceania, Europe, North America, and Latin America) across three age divisions: Beginner, Junior, and Senior.
As the only European finalist in the Senior category, TUTO AI will represent both Moldova and Europe at the Technovation World Summit.
The team previously won Moldova’s national Technovation Girls competition with its project TUTO AI—an artificial intelligence-powered digital tutor designed for students in Moldova. Rather than providing direct answers, the platform uses the Socratic method, asking questions that encourage critical thinking instead of memorization or copying.
The next stage of the competition will take place in October 2026 in Bengaluru, India, where the Moldovan team will present its project live before an international jury alongside the other global finalists.
