The Moldovan Wine Vernissage took place for the second time in Tokyo, celebrating the diversity and quality of Moldovan wines. The National Office for Vine and Wine (ONVV) organized the event with the support of the Wine of Moldova Japan team, bringing together 24 producers from the Republic of Moldova.

Moldovan winemakers presented more than 200 varieties of still wines, sparkling wines, and spirits, giving Japanese wine industry experts the chance to discover the authenticity and high quality of Moldovan products, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

According to ONVV, Japan continues to strengthen its role as a strategic export market for Moldovan winemakers, with exports growing steadily over the past few years. Moldovan producers exported around 283,000 liters of wine to Japan in 2022, 209,000 liters in 2023, and 409,000 liters in 2024. The upward trend continues in 2025, as Moldovan companies delivered over 337,000 liters of wine to Japan in the first eight months of the year.
