Money for air traffic management: Moldova could receive a grant of 3 million euros

The Republic of Moldova could benefit from non-refundable financial assistance, worth three million euros, to cover the costs related to the field of air traffic management.

Yesterday, the members of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission positively initiated the negotiations and approved the signing of the Agreement between the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) and the Republic of Moldova regarding the implementation of the Voluntary Solidarity Fund for European Air Traffic Management (ATM).

“Through the European Voluntary Solidarity Fund for ATM it will be possible to cover certain costs of S.S. “MoldATSA”. It is about personnel costs, such as salaries of operational staff, expenses associated with professional training and system maintenance, as well as any other cost related to operational preparation for the resumption of air traffic”, announce the representatives of the legislature.

The agreement will enter into force on the date of signature.
