Dmitry Peskov states that Moscow condemns the detention of Evghenia Gutul, according to TASS. The official suggested that the authorities in Chisinau ensure “the freedom of political forces.”
The Kremlin spokesperson stated that Putin’s administration is concerned. He considers the Moldovan government would remove political opponents through such actions.
“We condemn such actions and believe that Chisinau should abandon these methods and grant freedom of action to all political forces in the country. The authorities in Moldova are using open pressure methods on popular politicians who are competitors to Maia Sandu.”
“It seems that Chisinau has chosen the tactic of ignoring the law, ignoring the principles of democracy, ignoring the principles of pluralism, and simply exerting blatant pressure on all political competitors,” Peskov said.
