The third edition of the “Vinul Moldovei” National Wine Competition takes place in Chisinau on November 21-22, showcasing over 300 wines to be assessed by a panel of international experts.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI), this event celebrates the quality and diversity of Moldovan wines. It highlights local grape varieties, new selections, blends with European varieties, and spirits.
“The fact that this competition continues to grow and excel shows one thing: interest in Moldovan wines is increasing, making us very happy. I wish you two days of discovering the surprisingly good wines of Moldova,” stated State Secretary Andrian Digolean.

The jury comprises 27 international experts from seven countries, including Romania, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, France, and South Korea. Over two days, they will evaluate the wines and spirits, awarding gold, silver, and Grand Gold medals to those of exceptional quality.
The primary beneficiaries of the international wine competition are local producers, whose products are evaluated and appreciated by renowned experts in the wine industry. The award-winning wines will be announced at the Awards Gala, set to take place on November 22, 2024.
