National Opera and Ballet ‘Maria Bieșu’ Premieres in Estonia!

A premiere for the team of the National Opera and Ballet Theater “Maria Bieșu.” From July 25th to 30th, they will perform as special guests at the “Saarema Opera Festival” in Estonia.

The event will kick off today with Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Turandot” and will continue with the operas “La Bohème” by Giacomo Puccini and “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi, as well as the ballet “Swan Lake” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The festival will culminate with an “Opera and Ballet Gala.” The delegation from the Republic of Moldova consists of 170 individuals, including opera and ballet soloists, choir members, orchestra musicians, and the technical team. This marks the 16th edition of the “Saarema Opera Festival.”

For the Republic of Moldova, as well as for the vast majority of European states, the Opera and Ballet Theater represents a heightened awareness of the spiritual value of the national essence of the people. In support of this statement, we can invoke the historical factor of evaluating and validating artistic phenomena, as the 50th anniversary of the institutionalization of the National Opera in Chișinău was celebrated in 2007.
