Nearly 90 Companies in Moldova will Receive Grants from the Government, the EU, and the World Bank

The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, has awarded non-reimbursable grants worth more than 28.5 million lei to 89 companies across Moldova. The funds provided by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the European Union, and the World Bank aim to boost business development and strengthen the country’s economy.

The grants were distributed through various ODA-managed programs, including PARE 1+2, Green Programs, Support for Female Entrepreneurship, Start for Youth, Retooling and Energy Efficiency, Tourism Support, and Competitiveness Growth Programs.

The initiative will generate approximately 400 new jobs and help maintain around 700 existing positions. It will also mobilize substantial private investment, contributing to national economic growth.

“Through these grants, we aim to reduce risks, promote smart investments, and encourage the adoption of new technologies,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitization Doina Nistor. “When entrepreneurs want to grow and invest, the economy moves forward.”

The ODA Director, Vadim Codreanu, emphasized the agency’s growing support for Moldovan businesses. “We’re proud to support another 89 companies today. This year, we signed 220 grant contracts,” he said. “We’re improving our programs and digitizing access to simplify the funding process. In addition to grants, ODA offers tools like the 373 Program and the Credit Guarantee Fund to stimulate investment further.”

The grant signing event—ODA’s third this year—also included information sessions for beneficiaries on implementing investment projects and meeting contractual obligations.

As Moldova’s main public institution supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, ODA provides financial and non-financial assistance to entrepreneurs, helping drive sustainable business growth throughout the country.
