Next year, Moldova will host the preliminary group for EURO 2023 of U19 futsal juniors

The Republic of Moldova will host, between March 21-26, 2023, a qualification group for the 2023 edition of the U19 European Junior Futsal Championship.

The draw, which took place on November 3 at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, determined the composition of the groups in the first preliminary round and the second preliminary round (Main round).

Due to a good ranking in the UEFA hierarchy (21st place among 35 countries), our U19 futsal team will play in group I of the Main round, which also includes the junior national teams of Kazakhstan, Slovenia and Poland.

The matches in our country will take place at the Futsal Arena FMF sports complex in Ciorescu.

You can see the composition of all the groups in the first preliminary round and the second preliminary round (Main round) HERE.

The winner of our group will qualify for the final tournament, which will take place in the Croatian city of Poreč from September 3-10, 2023.

We specify that the Moldovan U19 futsal team will participate for the third time in this competition. In the 2019 edition, the tricolors finished in 3rd place in the 3rd preliminary group of the Main round, beating Serbia (6-4) and losing to Portugal (1-10) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-2).

In the 2022 edition, the qualifying mini-tournament was held in our country, and the National Team of Moldova finished the 6th preliminary group in 4th place, being defeated by Belgium (0-6), Andorra (4-5) and Ukraine (0-5) .
