Igor Grosu, President of the Moldovan Parliament, will pay a working visit to the United Kingdom and Ireland from June 29 to July 2. During the trip, he will meet with the Speaker of the British House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, and the Speaker of the Irish House of Representatives, Verona Murphy, according to the Parliament’s press service.
In London, Igor Grosu will hold meetings with members of the UK Parliament, including MPs from the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Moldova. In Dublin, he will join a joint session with committee chairpersons of the Irish Parliament to discuss draft bilateral agreements on social protection and driving license recognition.
The Parliament Speaker will also meet with members of the Moldovan diaspora in both countries. He plans to speak with Moldovans living, working, or studying in the UK and Ireland, as well as with representatives of the Moldovan business community.

While in Ireland, Grosu will participate in the “Moldova–Ireland: Bridges of Excellence” Forum. In the UK, he will attend “Diaspora Invest,” the “Diaspora Fest Sport & Traditions,” and “Spic de Grau” festivals—celebrations of Moldovan heritage, identity, and community spirit abroad.
Grosu will be accompanied by two MPs: Radu Marian, Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the UK, and Ion Spac, Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Ireland.
