Moldovan Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said that the parliamentary faction of the Party of Action and Solidarity met on Saturday, July 4, to discuss the profile of the country’s next prime minister, taking into account Moldova’s current situation and the government’s immediate priorities.

According to Grosu, the meeting included discussions about both the possibility of nominating a candidate from within PAS and a candidate from outside the party.

“We listened to all opinions. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options, and we are closely following the public discussion,” the Parliament speaker said.

Asked whether he himself could become Moldova’s next prime minister, Grosu declined to give a direct answer.

“You should expect a decision, and we will announce it,” he said.
