On the first day of the upcoming year, a mountaineer from Moldova, Olga Tapordei, conquered Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, located in the Andes mountain system in Argentina.

“Stay at the height – where you are! That’s what I wish for you in 2024. A short phrase, but with great meaning and depth,” Olga wrote on social media.

In social networks, the climber shared that the storming of the mountain was complicated by wind, frost, and a temperature of -55 ° C.

Olga Tapordei also became the first woman from Moldova to climb Mount Everest. She also conquered the Vinson Massif, the highest point in Antarctica.
