Photo Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea and State Secretary Andrian Digolean visited Verona

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, is visiting Verona, Italy from 11-13 April. An official will attend a significant event for the wine industry. The International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) is holding a ministerial meeting of its member states. Additionally, Andrian Digolean, the Secretary of State of the institution, is also present on this visit.

“Senior officials from different countries attended the event to discuss the challenges facing the wine industry in a global context. The discussion focused on sustainable development and environmental protection strategies, as well as the increasing consumer demand for quality and safety,” reads the press release issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.

The purpose of the event is to improve bilateral relations. The dialogues aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience to adopt the most effective strategies in the wine sector.

“The exchange of knowledge between countries can enhance our winemaking practices and promote excellence in the industry,” said Minister Bolea.

It is important to mention that this exercise is timely in light of Moldova’s hosting of the 46th OIV World Congress in 2025. This historic decision presents an opportunity for our country to showcase its dedication and enthusiasm for viticulture and winemaking.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Italy provided support that enabled the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the OIV ministerial meeting in Verona.
