(PHOTO) From Yerevan to Abu Dhabi for the future! A Moldovan woman traveled 2000 kilometers to vote for the first time.

An 18-year-old girl from the Republic of Moldova traveled 2000 kilometers to vote in the referendum and presidential elections. Valeria Mihalachi talked about her adventure on social media.

The Moldovan is studying in Dilijan in Armenia. In her region, not enough Moldovans had registered in advance to justify opening a polling station.

So Valeria and a Moldovan colleague set off from Yerevan to Abu Dhabi. The two traveled 3 hours by car, had to wait 13 hours at the airport, and had a 3-hour flight to finally arrive in the United Arab Emirates, where she exercised her right to vote.

“I have a clear conscience, knowing I took the opportunity to make the right decision. I encourage you to do the same and take responsibility for your future and Moldova’s,” Valeria urged.
