The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine have the same aspiration to be part of the European family. The Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, made the statement in discussions with the delegation for interparliamentary relations of the Supreme Rada members.
“The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine have the same aspirations – to be part of the great European family in a world of peace and freedom. To this end, with our colleagues from Ukraine, we are doing our “homework” to open negotiations with the European Union as soon as possible. In this context, we discussed today with the members of the delegation for interparliamentary relations with the Republic of Moldova in the Supreme Rada, Mykhail Radutskyi and Mykola Stefanciuk, about the current situation in the region and how we can further help Ukraine in the cruel war unleashed by the Russian Federation,” Igor Grosu wrote on his Facebook page.
The Moldovan official also added that shortly, the parliament in Chisinau will adopt a declaration condemning Russia for illegally deporting Ukrainian children.
