Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Mihai Popsoi is on a working visit to Ukraine on Wednesday 13 March. Together with his Ukrainian counterpart, the officials laid flowers at the memorial wall in honor of the fallen heroes for Ukraine’s freedom.

The foreign minister himself announces the visit on his Telegram channel.

“The Russian Federation is an aggressor state and must answer for this unjustified aggression launched against Ukraine. We stand with the Ukrainian people! This war must be stopped! People must live in peace!”, Popsoi says.

“Moldovans will always be grateful for the courage of the Ukrainian people and military. (…) I reconfirm our full support for the peace plan proposed by Vladimir Zelenski and we support the Crimean Platform initiative and the Register of Damage caused by the Russian Federation. (…) I reaffirm that we will continue to support the 115,000 Ukrainians remaining in the Republic of Moldova,” Popsoi said in Kyiv.

The visit to Kyiv is Mihai Popsoi’s second after becoming head of diplomacy in Chisinau. The Moldovan Foreign Minister went to Ukraine at the invitation of the neighboring country’s counterpart and began his visit by laying flowers at the memorial wall in honor of the heroes who died for Ukraine’s freedom.
