During the period from October 2 to October 4, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is undertaking a state visit to the Portuguese Republic to promote our country’s accession to the European Union and to deepen bilateral relations. During the visit, the President will also meet with our citizens residing in Portugal.
On October 5, the President will participate in the summit of the European Political Community, which will take place in the city of Granada, Kingdom of Spain. During the summit, preceding the European Council meeting on October 6, the head of state will discuss with her counterparts and leaders of EU institutions the challenges facing the European continent, Moldova’s accession to the EU, and ongoing reforms.
The last edition of the European Political Community summit took place on June 1, 2023, in the Republic of Moldova and gathered 49 European leaders.
