In a social media post, Sandu declared that “European Moldova is the path chosen by our citizens.” She went on to express her gratitude to European friends who have shown confidence in Moldova and its contribution to ensuring stability and peace in the region.
Sandu also emphasized that state institutions will work to fulfill the European Commission’s recommendations and ensure that Moldova is ready to begin accession negotiations. This message will be echoed on May 21st at the Citizens’ Assembly, where Moldovan officials will speak with a single voice about the country’s desire to join the EU.
