On the morning of Friday, October 25, prosecutors raided UTA Gagauzia, specifically targeting the office of Deputy Bashkan Victor Petrov. According to sources from Deschide.MD, is the subject of a criminal investigation for tax evasion and money laundering.
The cited source reports that authorities suspect Petrov of collaborating with several individuals linked to the “SHOR” and “Bulgaru” groups, the latter led by the “thief in law” Grigori Caramalac. In particular, reports suggest that Caramalac orchestrated the PSRM’s actions during the electoral period and has close ties with Ilan Shor.
Meanwhile, searches are also taking place in several localities in Orhei, Rezina, and Nisporeni. The CNA spokeswoman told Realitatea.md that the actions are being carried out to document the illegal acts of electoral corruption.
