Pupils from Moldova won three medals at the European Olympiad in Physics

The national team of the Republic of Moldova won two silver and bronze medals and a certificate of honor at the European Physics Olympiad, which was held in Hannover, Germany, from June 16 to 20, 2023.

The students of the Orizont Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau, Stefan Amarfi and Vadim Ionash, won silver medals. Bronze medalist – Paisie Rusu, a student of the theoretical lyceum “Aristotle” in Chisinau and a pupil of the Chisinau lyceum “Orizont” Victor Vorona, was awarded a certificate of honor.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, 176 students from 38 countries took part in the seventh European Physics Olympiad. The Republic of Moldova was represented by five pupils and one teacher.
