According to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), more than 80,000 Moldovans with Romanian citizenship exercised their right to vote in the Romanian presidential elections in the 59 polling stations opened in our country.
The figure is a record and almost twice as high as that recorded in the first round of Romania’s 2019 presidential elections when more than 43 thousand Romanians voted in Moldova.
The number of voters also exceeded the turnout at the European Parliament elections in the summer of this year, when around 57,000 Romanian citizens in the Republic of Moldova voted.
