Hundreds of guests and five internationally recognized speakers gathered on April 30 in Chisinau for a major platform for dialogue on the future of the Republic of Moldova — Reinvent Moldova 2.0, organized by the Realitatea Media Group.

This year’s edition gained significant weight thanks to the presence of special guest Charles Michel, who spoke about the importance of democracy and the challenges of European integration. He encouraged Moldovans to take pride in their achievements and in the country’s EU candidate status.

“I feel a vibrant society. A vibrant society with the will to look toward the future, to unite, to be in the same boat, to share common principles and values, to share a common project. I believe this new path offers a unique opportunity—a unique chance for this country to come together. I know the coming months and years will be extremely important,” Charles Michel said.

Other speakers from key sectors also took the stage and highlighted essential topics for the country’s development.

From civil society, Daniela Vidaicu, head of the Soros Foundation Moldova, emphasized the crucial role of democratic reforms and civic engagement in a constantly evolving European context.

“I have traveled to many countries, studied abroad, and always returned home. Because home is Moldova. Moldova being my country is a privilege, because every year we grow together. We make mistakes, we rise again, and we look for the best solutions so that both I and Moldova can thrive,” she said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu spoke about the country’s economic prospects and announced the launch of the government program “Reușim.”

“It is about Moldova. It is about citizens. It is about the private sector, which has demonstrated resilience,” he stated.

Ana Revenco, Director of StratCom Moldova, addressed the topic of security and resilience.

“Russian disinformation works by making you feel not strong enough and believe you cannot change anything,” she noted.

Strategic communication expert Sergiu Toader discussed the challenges facing the media industry and the relationship between content, audience, and credibility, stressing that public trust remains a fundamental pillar.

“The Republic of Moldova has something to offer and no longer needs to seek approval from Brussels or Moscow,” Toader emphasized.

Reinvent Moldova 2.0 confirms its ambition to serve as a relevant platform for ideas and civic mobilization, dedicated to strengthening democratic values and supporting the country’s European path.

Now in its second edition, the event reinforces the message that the future of Moldova depends on the involvement of each of its citizens.
