Tomorrow, October 17, 2023, our country will host the 4th edition of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova, initiated by Romania, Germany, and France.
According to the government, over 30 countries and numerous international and financial organizations will come together to mobilize the necessary support in three main areas for the development of the Republic of Moldova: budgetary support, the establishment of an Infrastructure Fund, and a Residential Fund for energy efficiency.
As per the conference agenda, a series of memorandums for the Republic of Moldova will be signed, and the event will be opened by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Words of welcome will also be delivered by the co-founders of the Platform – the heads of the French, German, and Romanian delegations.
Subsequently, participants will engage in discussions following presentations by the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu. After the roundtable discussions, officials will provide results and conclusions from thematic working groups established under six pillars – humanitarian efforts, energy, anti-corruption, border management, financial assistance, administrative reform, and public finance management.
