Republic of Moldova’s Diverse Showcase at World Food India (WFI)

Ten companies from the Republic of Moldova presented their wines, fruits, and medicinal plants at the largest food and beverage event in India, World Food India (WFI).

During the current period from November 3rd to November 5th, these companies showcased their wines, fruits, and medicinal plants at the largest event in India dedicated to food and beverages, World Food India (WFI).

The participants at the fair introduced Moldovan products to Indian importers and consumers and explored opportunities for collaboration and export.

“The authentic taste of products Made in Moldova was highly appreciated at World Food India 2023. Congratulations to the companies for their exceptional representation and their significant contribution to promoting the image of our republic in India!” stated the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi, Ana Taban.

The Moldovan stand was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in India and the USAID Competitive and Rural Resilience Project in Moldova (PCRR).

It is worth mentioning that the first container of Moldovan apples arrived in India in January.

“We aim for long-term cooperation with India, which is a vast market, and apple exports are the first step. India imports over 430,000 tons of apples annually, and we are delighted by the demand for quality products from our republic,” said the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, at the beginning of this year.
