In a statement made in Bulboaca, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his belief that once Ukraine emerges victorious from the conflict instigated by Russia, Moldova will proceed to reintegrate Transnistria.
“We wish you only peace, without bombs, missiles, artillery, and casualties on your land. I am confident that after our triumph, you will become a reunited country, free from rockets and free from Russia,” stated the Ukrainian president.
Referring to the 5+2 format, Zelensky remarked that it is no longer relevant. He emphasized that Kyiv and Moldova share a common position, but he is unsure if other countries will be involved in the case of Moldova’s reunification.
“What should we do with the troops? They will want to live, and they will leave. Those who want to live will find a way out of the situation,” the Ukrainian leader added.
