Wizz Air states that, during ground handling operations, a mobile stair vehicle hit their parked aircraft, scheduled to depart for Bucharest at 08:35 local time. The crew immediately deboarded all passengers according to standard procedures and redirected them to the terminal, where they received assistance, including food and drinks.
The company provided a replacement aircraft, which safely departed at 12:30 local time. Wizz Air kept the original aircraft grounded for further technical checks. They apologize for the inconvenience and thank the passengers for their understanding. The company reiterates that passenger and crew safety remains their top priority.

On the morning of Monday, May 5, a mobile stair vehicle operated by Aeroport Handling hit a Wizz Air aircraft while it stood on the ground.
Airport spokesperson Natalia Cojocaru confirmed the incident to Realitatea. She added that the incident did not compromise the safety of passengers or staff.
