Maia Sandu thanked the citizens who participated in the elections. At the same time, the candidate for a new term as head of state insisted that some attempted to fraud the presidential elections and the referendum. She also addressed a message to the voters of her opponent, Alexandr Stoianoglo, stating that she respects their choice.
The politician highlighted the diaspora’s contribution to the electoral process. At the same time, Sandu concluded that mobilization at the polls is necessary for the second round of the presidential elections.
”The people of the Republic of Moldova have expressed their will. The majority of the people supported the European path. I thank everyone who came out to vote, whether you voted in Soroca, Chisinau, Stefan Voda, Milan, Dublin, early in the morning or late in the evening, in the north or the south.
Every vote was decisive. Yesterday and today proved that the phrase ‘every vote counts’ is not empty words. I am grateful to the citizens who voted and expressed what they wanted for Moldova.

The Party of Action and Solidarity’s presidential candidate claimed that 150,000 people had allegedly participated in the illegal financing of parties secretly controlled by Sor.
Regarding the debates in the second round of the presidential elections, Maia Sandu concluded that the electoral teams must reach an agreement on organizing the event this week.
