Sheriff Tiraspol defeated Farul Constanţa. The team goes to the second preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League

In the second leg of the first preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League, Sheriff Tiraspol last night defeated Farul Constanța (Romania) 3-0 at home, at the Sheriff stadium in Tiraspol.

Sheriff Tiraspol – the champion of the Republic of Moldova, managed to open the scoring before the break. After 90 minutes of play, the result remained the same, 1-0 in favor of the team from Tiraspol. In the two overtime periods, Sheriff scored two more goals. The match ended with a score of 3-0 for the hosts.

With this victory, Sheriff Tiraspol managed to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

The sheriff will play in the second preliminary round against Maccabi Haifa (Israel). The games are scheduled for July 25-26 in Tiraspol and August 1-2 away abroad.
