Six companies are competing to design four bridges over the Prut River

On Monday, 4 March, Cristian Pistol, the Director General of Romania’s National Road Infrastructure Management Company (CNAIR,) announced that six bids had been submitted, for the feasibility study of four bridges to be built over the Prut River, writes Bani.md.

The four bridges included in the project are:

  1. Bridge Stanca (Romania) – Costesti (Republic of Moldova;)
  2. Bridge Bumbata (Romania) – Leova (Republic of Moldova;)
  3. Bridge Falciu (Romania) – Leca (Republic of Moldova;)
  4. Bridge Raducaneni(Rominia)- Barboieni (Republic of Moldova.)

Tenderers who submitted proposals are:

  • Asocierea RUTIER CONEX XXI S.R.L. (LIDER) – SC TOTAL ROAD S.R.L. (ASOCIAT);
  • SC ARTEHNIS S.R.L.;
  • Asocierea S.C. PROIECT – CONSTRUCT REGIUNEA TRANSILVANIA S.R.L. (LIDER) – S.C. TQM MANAGEMENT S.R.L. (ASOCIAT);
  • DONPREST COM S.R.L.;
  • S.C. TOTAL BUSINESS LAND S.R.L.;
  • S.C. LIKE CONSULTING S.R.L.

The four contracts have a total value of 1.61 million lei (excluding VAT,) and each feasibility study has a contract period of 12 months. The financing of these contracts is provided from the Romanian state budget revenues.

These bridge construction projects across the Prut are an important initiative to strengthen the transport infrastructure between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. They will facilitate connectivity and economic development between the two countries.
