Spinu asked to reconsider the decision: Chisinau-Iasi train will not stop running from February 5

The movement of the Chisinau-Iasi train will not be suspended from February 5. This was announced by the press service of the Moldovan Railways on February 1.

The statement was made after Infrastructure Minister Andrei Spinu’s comment on social networks. The official asked to reconsider the decision.

“Dear passengers, we inform you that the movement of the Chisinau-Iasi (Sokola) train will not be suspended from February 5. The tickets bought for February 5 are valid. In the following days, the technical department will carry out urgent works to service the Chisinau – Iasi (Sokola) route with D1M trains,” the Moldovan Railways said.

“After the announcement of the Moldovan Railways about the suspension of the Chisinau-Iasi (Socola) route, we demanded that this decision be reconsidered. The technical department of the Moldovan Railways assured me that in the next few days, they will work in emergency mode so that the Chisinau-Iasi train will run without interruptions,” Spinu wrote.

Earlier, the Moldovan Railways said that from February 5, the traffic on the Chisinau – Iasi (Socola) train route will be suspended from February 5, 2024.
