The Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children in Chișinău has been equipped with a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine that allows for the diagnosis of various conditions in children, including cardiovascular and musculoskeletal disorders.
The ultrasound machine, valued at 978,000 lei, was purchased with the financial support of the Government of Japan, within the framework of the Human Security Grants Program “Kusanone.”
“With the help of the equipment, botulinum toxin can be administered guided by ultrasound in the muscles of children with cerebral palsy for its relaxation, a new method of anti-spastic treatment,” specifies the Ministry of Health.
Children from all over the territory of the Republic of Moldova receive free rehabilitation services at the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children.
