The incidents reported in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova that took place in recent days are detrimental to the security and stability of the Republic of Moldova. The European Union calls on the actors responsible to avoid destabilizing the situation. We strongly welcome the reactions of the Moldovan authorities, which help to keep calm in the country.
The EU is in solidarity with the Republic of Moldova and reiterates its strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders and with a special status for the Transnistrian region.
