The Central Electoral Commission has concluded the candidate registration process for the presidential elections. On Tuesday, September 24, it approved the decisions regarding the registration of the final electoral contenders.
The CEC members rejected Igor Munteanu’s candidacy after identifying invalid signatures supporting him and violations in the signature collection process. Meanwhile, Victoria Furtuna, Tudor Ulianovschi, and Natalia Morari officially entered the electoral race.
Thus, the candidates for the position of head of state are Alexandr Stoianolgo (supported by the PSRM), Maia Sandu (nominated by the PAS), Renato Usatii (nominated by the ”Partidul Nostru”), Vasile Tarlev (nominated by the “Viitorul Moldovei” Party), Irina Vlah (nominated by a group of citizens), Ion Chicu (nominated by the Party of Consolidation and Development of Moldova), Andrei Nastase (nominated by a group of citizens), Octavian Ticu (nominated by the “Impreuna” bloc), Victoria Furtuna (nominated by a group of citizens), Tudor Ulianovschi (nominated by a group of citizens), and Natalia Morari (nominated by a group of citizens).

Supporters of Alexandru Arseni, nominated by a group of citizens, submitted the subscription lists to the Central Electoral Commission.
The presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova will occur on October 20, 2024. On that day, citizens will vote to support Moldova’s European integration.
