The European Court of Human Rights will examine the outlawing of the “Shor” party, says Marina Tauber. The politician didn’t mention when the hearing would take place and when the decision on the hearings was taken.
“This decision of the ECHR – a big step towards restoring justice and our rights, violated by the unjustified recognition of the “Shor” Party as unconstitutional and the ban on participation in local elections.
We will defend the right to represent the interests of our voters, and the right to participate in the political life of the country! And we will continue to defend the main democratic freedoms, including – free and fair elections, despite political pressure,” Tauber wrote on social media.
The “Shor” party was declared unconstitutional on June 19, 2023.

According to the Moldovan Constitution and legislation, a political party can be outlawed if it advocates against political pluralism and carries out activities that undermine the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova.
Government authorities have not yet commented on the situation. The Realitatea editorial office has requested a reaction and information on the subject from the Ministry of Justice. We will come back with further details as soon as we get a response from the authorities.
