The authorities prolonged the tender for Chisinau International Airport after another unsuccessful attempt

A new postponement of the tender for commercial space at the airport is required. On Monday, September 30, 2024, representatives of the institution announced that they had extended the deadline for submitting applications for the tender.

“On September 28, September 28, at 17:00, the deadline for submission of bids for participation in the tender was closed. Therefore, according to the procedure phases, the tender committee held a meeting. The institution decided to extend the application deadline for participation in the tender until October 19, 2024. The updated calendar for organizing the public auction is: October 22, 2024, 09:00 – Lot 1 tendering; 11:00 – Lot 2 tendering,” informs a press release issued by the Airport representatives.

The auction for commercial spaces at Chisinau Airport has failed several times. Authorities announced the first auction on January 18, 2024, when only two companies – Lagardère and LeBridge – applied for the tender. In early March, the authorities announced a new tender, and on March 25, one of the two companies announced that it had changed its mind and would not participate in the repeat auction. The JPA decided to change the conditions of participation to attract more reputable international companies.
