The CEC declared valid the elections that won Maia Sandu a second term as President. The CC decision follows

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) tabulated the 2024 presidential election results and declared them valid on Saturday, November 9.

Thus, according to official data, in the second round of voting on November 3, PAS candidate Maia Sandu was voted by 930,139 citizens, while the Socialist candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo received 750,430 votes. In total, 1,699,945 voters turned out to vote.

The Central Electoral Commission will submit its report to the Constitutional Court for validation. According to the law, the High Court has ten days to examine it and give its opinion on the election results and the validation of the presidential mandate.
