The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reminds local public administrations to provide spaces for electoral posters and candidates’ meetings as required by law. Authorities must make these arrangements three days before the campaign starts.
“Decisions and orders will be displayed immediately at the headquarters of the authorities and will be communicated to the public through mass media and other available means,” the CEC announced.
According to the Regulation on the provision, distribution, and broadcasting of political, electoral, and public interest advertisements (CEC Decision no. 1155/2023):
- Billboards must have a minimum area of two square meters.
- Authorities are required to provide at least two billboards for every 6,000 voters.
- In municipalities, towns, and communes, there must be at least one special location with fixed billboards of two square meters for each locality.
