The CUB Party has officially joined the September 28 parliamentary election race. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) also registered Andrei Nastase as an independent candidate. IPN reports that the Commission approved both decisions.
For CUB, the CEC approved the list of 53 candidates running for deputy. The Commission also confirmed the party’s electoral symbol, its representative for the election period, and the individual responsible for campaign finances.

Also today, the Together political bloc announced that it had submitted its documents to participate in the September 28 elections. Independent candidate Olesea Stamate, currently serving in Parliament, stated that she submitted the signature lists required for registration.
Candidates may submit their registration documents until August 19. The official election campaign will begin on August 29.
