The decision is taken: Polling stations for the Russian presidential election will be opened only at the Russian Embassy in Chisinau

The Moldovan authorities have banned the opening of polling stations for the presidential election in Russia outside diplomatic missions. This explanation was made by Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi on the air of the program “Punctul pe Azi” on TVR Moldova.

“We have banned voting in the presidential elections anywhere outside diplomatic missions. Any attempt to arrange voting elsewhere will be counterproductive,” Mihai Popsoi warned.

The MFA head emphasized that Russia was told that opening polling stations in Transnistria is categorically forbidden.

“The state is now more stable than ever. We will try to counteract actions that contradict sovereignty.”

So, polling stations can only be opened at the Russian Embassy in Chisinau.
