The EU is preparing its largest military support package for Moldova: Vehicles, radars, and equipment worth 20 million €

The European Union is preparing its major military support package for Moldova. EU member state ambassadors plan to approve the aid package on April 9.

The EU will allocate around 20 million euros to Moldova, providing non-lethal equipment, military vehicles, aerial surveillance tools, and cybersecurity systems. Radio Europa Libera reports that the package includes eight air defense systems, which the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments will deliver to Moldova.

IPN reports that the President of the European Council, António Costa, revealed the 60 million euro package during his visit to Chisinau in March. The 20 million euro support forms part of this broader assistance plan.

So far, the EU has provided Moldova with 197 million euros in military aid through the European Peace Facility. Moldova now stands as the second-largest recipient of EU military support after Ukraine.
