The Government spokesperson, Daniel Voda, announced that starting July 14, 2025, and continuing until the Constitutional Court confirms the results of the parliamentary elections, the government will adjust its public communication in line with the Electoral Code and the Central Electoral Commission’s (CEC) Regulation on election campaign coverage.
During this period, media service providers, broadcasters, and advertising distributors may air only public interest messages that the CEC has officially approved.
Voda explained that public interest messages represent institutional advertising issued by public sector entities or non-commercial organizations registered. In the electoral context, these messages serve to promote democratic values and participatory democracy, provide accurate information about the elections or referendums, and explain how citizens can exercise their political and electoral rights.
He also noted that public authorities wishing to conduct opinion polls during this period must submit requests for approval to the CEC.
“The government reaffirms its full commitment to respecting the legal framework and ensuring accurate, balanced, and transparent information for the public,” Voda stated. “We will coordinate closely with the Central Electoral Commission on all major public communication activities to ensure compliance with the law.”
