The head of state met with Moldovans living in Ireland

During a working visit to Dublin, Moldovan President Maia Sandu met with Moldovan citizens living there. The head of state said that Ireland is a country that proves that economic development and improvement of the quality of life can make people return home even after decades spent abroad.

“Our Moldovan community here in Ireland fully understands that the European path opens opportunities; they had the opportunity to see this through the example of Ireland. I thanked them for supporting and promoting the country’s development,” the President said.

The head of state said Moldovans who became entrepreneurs in Ireland.

“I was happy to meet our citizens who have created businesses that promote our country and products through hard work. They have created an image of a hard-working and honest nation through their daily efforts over the years,” Maia Sandu said.

The President emphasized that Moldova is changing thanks to investments in roads, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals in our villages and towns.

“I urged them to continue promoting our country by discussing Moldova, preserving our traditions, and forging business connections. I also invited them to participate in the Diaspora Invest event, organized by the Investment Agency, to explore new opportunities for developing our country together,” President Maia Sandu said.
