The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization have established a council to promote economic diplomacy

On August 7, 2024, the Executive approved the establishment of the Economic Diplomacy Council. It is an essential body that integrates the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization to promote Moldova’s economic interests abroad.

This initiative highlights the commitment of both ministries to strengthen our country’s position in the global economy and to stimulate sustainable economic development.

The Council will ensure a coherent and integrated approach to Moldova’s economic interests and will facilitate the achievement of strategic economic development goals for our country.

Through the collaboration between the two public institutions, the Council will identify key sectors of interest and advance strategic partnerships with the potential to bring valuable economic benefits to the country. Additionally, the Council will monitor and evaluate progress, manage the efficient use of economic diplomacy resources, and adapt strategies and action plans based on results and challenges
