The Presidents of Poland and Switzerland to pay official visits to Moldova next week

The beginning of the next week will be marked by the official visits to Moldova of Maia Sandu’s counterparts, the heads of state from Poland and Switzerland. The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda will pay the working visit to Chisinau on March 21st and the President of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, on March 22nd.

Each of the meetings will be followed by a joint news conference.

Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion on Ukraine on 24th of February, the Republic of Moldova has been visited by many chiefs of state, European Union and United States high-representatives.

Among the high-officials who paid working visits are the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, President of Estonia Alar Karis, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy Joseph Borrell, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and others.

They presented their intentions to support Moldova financially and applauded its efforts and those of its citizens for the solidarity, mobilization and openness they showed regarding the refugee crisis in Ukraine.
