The social security agreement between Moldova and the Kingdom of Spain, signed in Madrid in July 2022, may be ratified by the Spanish legislature in the first half of next year, Moldova’s ambassador in Madrid Eugen Revenco told Radio Moldova.
“We hope that we can speed up the adoption of the document because it has no obstacles, but we hope that the Spanish legislature will adopt the document in the first quarter or first half of next year. At the beginning of January, we will hold discussions with the commissions of the Spanish Congress to see how quickly and in what way we will move on this dossier to implement the long-awaited agreement,” Eugen Revenco said.
It is worth mentioning that the Chisinau parliament ratified the agreement on September 22, 2022, and it will enter into force after the Madrid legislature votes for it.
Moldova has signed bilateral agreements on social security with 17 countries, 14 of which entered into force.
