The Royal Family of Romania conveyed a New Year message to Romanians in the country, in the Republic of Moldova, across the European Union, and to those living abroad.

“At the turn of the year, we wish all Romanians at home, in the Republic of Moldova, in the European Union, and all those far from home a happy new year, fulfillment, and inner peace, together with family and loved ones,” the Royal Family wrote in its message.

The Royal Household also thanked everyone who sent Christmas and New Year greetings. The Royal Family published the message on its official Facebook page.

The Royal Family most recently visited the Republic of Moldova on October 22–23, when Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu arrived in Chisinau.

During the visit, the Royal Family met with President Maia Sandu and discussed cooperation between the Royal Household and the authorities in Chisinau in the context of the Republic of Moldova’s path toward accession to the European Union.
