Adrian Albu, a member of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), suspects he is being surveilled and has leveled accusations against the government. He made these statements on Thursday, October 31, during a press briefing following the release of audio recordings allegedly capturing his conversations with Russian FSB agents, which he claims tarnished his reputation. Albu reiterated his party’s stance, asserting that the audio recordings are fabricated.
“It’s serious that at the beginning of this electoral period, a PAS representative explicitly told me, ‘Adrian, don’t participate in debates and don’t criticize Sandu; criticize PAS as much as you want, but not Sandu.’ As you know, I participated in most electoral debates, and everywhere I criticized Sandu because I believe she deserves to be held accountable for everything she has done for this country.
But even more concerning is the fact that there’s a van parked under my balcony with equipment for voice reception and scanning. By the way, I conducted an expert analysis, which confirmed that voice scanning and reception are indeed happening. On Sunday, following reports from my neighbors who noticed that this van had been parked under my balcony for more than a month, I called the police. They documented the case, and I know it was also recorded based on my neighbors’ reports. Yet, we see no results. The van is still there, and I suspect it’s still listening to the voices of everyone present in our home,” Albu stated.

A leak containing audio recordings allegedly shows direct connections between Adrian Albu, a prominent leader of the Socialist Party (PSRM), and Russian FSB agents. According to these recordings, Moscow actively coordinates socialist strategies to influence Moldova’s political landscape in its favor, Eureporter writes.
On Thursday, October 31, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) responded to the leaked information, stating that “the recordings were fabricated and bear no connection to PSRM.”
