The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMP) is proud to announce an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Bilateral Partnership on Cooperation between Moldova and the U.S. state of North Carolina.
The celebratory occasion will be held at the University Socio-cultural Complex, located at Nicolae Testemitanu Street 25, on 21 March, commencing at 14:00.
Distinguished guests expected to grace the ceremony include North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States to Moldova, Kent D. Logsdon, and USMP Rector, Professor Emil Ceban.
The agenda is set to feature a panel discussion involving American officials, shedding light on the achievements and milestones of the bilateral partnership over the past 25 years. Professor Emil Ceban will unveil the fruits of this enduring collaboration, followed by a dynamic question-and-answer session.

In conjunction with the event, an exhibition will be inaugurated showcasing publications generously donated to the Medical Scientific Library by North Carolina State. A captivating photo gallery and screening of the documentary “People to People” will also be highlights of the day. This documentary chronicles the university’s collaborative programs in dentistry, pharmacy, medical assistance, inter-library partnerships, and significant milestones achieved over a quarter-century.
Members of the North Carolina delegation will attend the gathering, representatives from the Embassy of the USA in Moldova, esteemed pro-rectors, deans, and program managers involved in bilateral cooperation, and their beneficiaries. Furthermore, faculty members, students, resident physicians, young researchers, and librarians are cordially invited to participate in this momentous occasion.
