Thousands of public and private sector employees are involved in the organization of the European Political Community (EPC) summit, which will be held on June 1 in our country. The details of the agenda of the EPC were presented today at a press conference by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and European Integration Nicu Popescu.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the summit on June 1 begins at Mimi Castle at 10.30 with the arrival of delegations and ends in the evening at 19.00. The program of the event includes several components. The summit will begin with a plenary session, at which the heads of delegations will have the opportunity to express the position of their states in certain areas of interest. Then the leaders will split into working groups, where they will discuss certain topics in more detail. The summit will also include bilateral meetings between the leaders who will attend the event.
The 48 official delegations have already confirmed their participation in the event. Part of the delegates will arrive in Chisinau on the evening of May 31, and the other part of the participants will arrive in our country on the morning of June 1.
So far, requests for accreditation have been got from media outlets and journalists from 23 countries, including France, Great Britain, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Greece, the United States of America, and Japan.
Moldova is set to host the European Political Community Summit on June 1st, 2023, an event that will bring together nearly 50 leaders of states and around 1,000 foreign journalists.
